In the Trypillian tradition, the feminine principle was revered as the source of creation, and the earth as the greatest value and the foundation of well-being.
The soft forms and symbolic ornamentation emphasise the connection with the cycles of nature, the earth’s bounty and the power of motherhood. The sculpture serves as a reminder of humanity’s harmony with nature and of life’s eternal capacity to be reborn.
